There's something I do 30 minutes before I go to sleep which has a profound impact on my life. It's not that. Get your mind out of the gutter.
So we have 5 types of brain waves right? Before we fall asleep our brain generates Alpha brain waves. It's often said that these brainwaves connect our concious mind to our subconscious mind. During Alpha, our thoughts, ideas, visualisations and emotions filter from our waking state to our subconcious.
This is our opportunity to unlock the power of our subconcious mind.

Our subconcious is incredibly powerful and completely takes over while we sleep; processing ideas, emotions and even requests. The most effective way to make a request is through journalling.
Journalling is where I have a conversation with my subconscious. It only takes 10 minutes and it's the last thing I do while my brain slips into Alpha state.
I'll write down what went well that day and what I'd like to improve. I'll think about my goals and anything that might be holding me back. There might even be a very specfic question that's got me stumped. After journalling I'll fall asleep with a renewed sense of clarity and excitement about my life.
After a solid slumber I'll grab the journal and dump my subconscious back onto the page. I'll review last night's notes, write down any revelations and set my course for the day. This routine creates momentum and steers my life in the right direction.
We spend a third of our lives asleep in the arena of our subconscious. If you're not taking advantage of Alpha state to make requests, you're flying blind and missing out on a huge opportunity to improve your life.
